Innocence personified...

Just the other day, I asked my cute five-turning nephew, Amogh what birthday gift would he like to have this December. And pat came a quick reply. Five Eclairs chocolates and an ice-cream. :P oyyieeeeee cho chweet! Now, Gems, Eclairs, Dairy Milk are his favourite savories and he needs to have atleast one of them every single day... His reply really made me think. How wonderful childhood innocence is... We adults have a long wish-list that we would like someone to gift us on our anniversaries. But how a small kids' world is revolved around with such interesting titbits... something that he can relate to on a day-to-day basis... Wish even we could think on such simple lines... Of living every moment of our lives... But unfortunately, most of the time, we are busy in "accumulating" materialistic things... once a particular object of our fascination is in our possession, we feel that we have reached some milestone in our checklist of wishes...Sigh!!! Now, whether we have the time or the interest to use and like the object we have acquired is another story altogether :( Many a times, these objects remain neglected in some remote corner of our homes unless and until they are noticed while taking a stock of the things present in the house... Sad but true...On the contrary, kids live the day-to-day moments of their lives actually "living and loving" the things they ask for...

Yet, all hope is not lost in adulthood! We do realise what we are missing out on once in a while and do catch up on the most loveable things in our life, but in an off and on way... But, it should be done more often so that the child in us remains alive throughout.... which makes us relive our childhood... Looking at Amogh's one smile is enough to enlighten my spirits after a tiring day at work... His frank actions and reactions, his innocent looks, his soft touch and mere company makes me feel blessed and blissed... I just love the time spent with him... Its great to have a kid around!!!
