Its Diwali eve and there is fun and frolic all around... Celebrations galore... and colorful festivities in almost every home... Whether you are bound to the festival religiously or not doesn't matter at all... Its the spirit of the festival... the hope... the lights... the metamorphosis symbolised by brightness over darkness and all that inspires within us to look forward to yet another brand new start in our lives :)
Yesterday, infact, the night skies in my locality were totally embellished with fireworks displays of varying colors and patterns... I thought to myself looking at one such multi-colored sparking pattern up above in the sky... what do these fireworks really signify? Is it just our own means of expression... to show our jubilance.... for few moments of enjoyment and cheer... Nice... I am sure that even the ones crying foul over air-pollution must be having their own 'wow' moments looking at the skies during Diwali :P Though, I was content bursting flower pots, bhui-chakra, sparklers (the so-called safe and simple fireworks) with Amogh (my cute little nephew) and watching the neighbours try out various others particularly the noisy ones....
Whatever it be, but this festival does unite people across all segments... and thats really a wonderful thing... Hope the festival continues to shower its choicest blessings on us and that we feel the light of the inner soul within us time and over again for the entire year round...
